Beginning Sunday, March 25, 2007, CME Foreign Exchange (FX) Futures and Options products trading on the CME Globex platform will open for trading at 3:00 p.m. Central Time (CT) each Sunday (currently the market opens at 5:00 p.m. CT).

Additionally, the CME Globex pre-market open for FX futures and options will be shortened to 30 minutes (from 45 minutes), resulting in a 2:30 start for the pre-opening session.

The opening time of the FX markets is being changed in order to capture more of the Asian Interbank FX market, where trading begins in New Zealand and Australia each day and continues as markets in Japan, South Korea, China and Singapore open.
